This 2-day, introductory Carver workshop will provide you with comprehensive, interactive, hands-on training to reinforce concepts learned.

• Cost-justify different maintenance planning programs (i.e., Run to Fail, On Condition, and Predictive.)

• Apply a Value = Benefit - Cost strategy to justifying your maintenance activities.

• Understand how Maintenance Planning directly impacts Facility and Equipment Life Cycle costs.

• Target and improve equipment maintainability and/or reliability.

• Understand asset performance management.

• Understand Life Cycle maintenance planning.

• Apply the basic elements and process of estimating.

• Use the philosophy of estimating the net value to the company when choosing the resources to complete a job (what is the life cycle cost benefit to whole plant/mill?)

• Improve job workflow and resource allocation, including calculating standby time and overall scheduling% efficiency.

• Explain critical path and use a Gantt chart to trace out the critical path, define project critical milestones, predecessors and successor relationships.

• Identifying the project risk points and explains how planning to manage or control the identified risks is part of the overall project.

• Manage the importance of information linkages between all stakeholders of the project.
