(Reuters) - The dollar rose further against the euro and yen on Wednesday after a gauge of manufacturing in New York State rose more than expected in December.
A separate report showed U.S. consumer prices rose slightly less than in November.The dollar rose as high as 84.05 yen on trading platform EBS, from 83.82 yen before the data. It was last at 84 yen, up 0.4 percent on the day.
The euro slipped to $1.3337, down 0.4 percent on the day, from $1.3356 before the release of data.
