(Reuters) - U.S. stocks extended gains on Wednesday after a report showed U.S. consumer sentiment rose to its highest level since June.
The Dow Jones industrial average .DJI was up 110.20 points, or 1.00 percent, at 11,146.57. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index .SPX rose 12.15 points, or 1.03 percent, at 1,192.88. The Nasdaq Composite Index .IXICjumped 33.96 points, or 1.36 percent, at 2,528.91.
