(Reuters) - Stocks rose on Monday, with the S&P 500 facing a level where selling has clustered in recent sessions.
S&P 500 has traded in a tight range below 1,333. The benchmark has been unable to close above that level since mid-February, although the index briefly pierced it on Friday.The Dow Jones industrial average .DJI gained 10.22 points, or 0.08 percent, to 12,386.94. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index .SPX gained 2.35 points, or 0.18 percent, to 1,334.76. The Nasdaq Composite Index .IXICgained 7.52 points, or 0.27 percent, to 2,797.12.
