Maintenance Planner


* Supporting and leading plant safety in addition to ensuring all safety precautions and special conditions are documented in work orders
* Establishing appropriate
job plans that optimize maintenance efficiency and job performance
* Continuously monitoring and validating accuracy of parts required to execute work orders
* Tracking work orders and updating as needed
* Continuously improving the effectiveness of the work order system
* Working with production and maintenance teams to effectively plan and prioritize maintenance work and special projects
* Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors, contractors and purchasing to effectively coordinate delivery of
services, equipment and supplies
* Developing preventive maintenance and equipment condition monitoring programs
* Utilizing the computerized maintenance management system to track work orders through completion
* Provide required reports, as necessary


* Minimum 5 years related experience in an industrial environment
* A passion for safety and exceptional leadership capability in improving safety performance
* Thorough knowledge of plant operations and cost/time required for all types of equipment maintenance
* Thorough understanding of maintenance related metrics - schedule compliance, etc.
* Ability to read blueprints, schematics, layouts and technical manuals
* Proven expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance methods
* Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication skills
* Exceptional planning and organizational skills
* Strong work ethic, good judgment and decision-making abilities
* Demonstrated basic
computer skills and proficiency in MS Office, MS Project other windows based programs and internet skills
* Working knowledge of Maximo, SAP or another computerized maintenance management system
