· The Sr. Project Controls Lead MUST have 10-15 years experience.

· Oversee all aspects of Planning, Scheduling and Cost Control for the Projects Group organization.

· Interface with client Project/Cost Control leads to ensure alignment of project control processes.

· Co-ordinate with Planners, Material Coordinator, Safety Coordinators etc to prepare work packs to enable efficient execution of work by individual Supervisors.

· Assist Projects Group Manager in preparation of organizational charts and mobilization plans to ensure successful execution of the Projects Group.

· In consultation the Execution Manager and Planners, oversee the development of an integrated project schedule with resources and logic defined.

· Participate in the preparation of initial project estimate for sign off by Site Management and client. Maintain Change Order register documenting variations to approved project budget.

· Ensure that a rigid extra work approval process is maintained. Ensure that variation instructions against supplier/service quotes and timesheets are verified in accordance with contractual agreements and commercial arrangements.

· Co-ordinate the emergent work execution management process during the project including safety risk analysis, materials expediting, Q/A and job packs, estimating and planning and subcontractor notification.

Requirements:

· A relevant Bachelor’s degree with focus in Finance, Accounting or Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution or equivalent.

· Three to five years experience in project planning, estimating and project controls within a related industry.

· Direct experience on Oil and Gas and/or Oilsands maintenance Projects Groups is highly preferred.

· Experience in implementation of software based Project Controls applications is preferable.

· Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.
